Year 2011
May 2011. A historical moment - all 5 founding members of Cine-Regio gathered at the 6th Cine-Regio Assembly in Cannes.
Year 2010
On January 1st 2010, the Cine-Regio secretariat moved from Göteborg, Sweden to Aarhus, Denmark, with support from Region Central and Region North Denmark, the "home" of Cine-Regio member West Danish Film Fund. New chairman is Søren Poulsen, Manager Filmby Aarhus (3rd person from right on picture).
Year 2009
In June 2009, the conference The Future of European Children's Film | 1st KIDS Regio Forum took place in Erfurt, Germany.
From 16 European countries authors, directors and producers as well as sales agents, distributors, TV representatives, funders and representatives of lobby groups, met and discussed possible synergies and strategies in order to improve the situation of the European children’s film.
Year 2008
In June 2008, CINE EURO Training for producers is launched in Edinburgh, initiated by regional film agency Screen South. The programme will be delivered with the support of Film Export UK and Cine Regio.
Year 2007
In April 2007 the Cine-Regio secretariat moved the office to Lindholmen Science Park, a new progressive area in Göteborg where many creative companies and organizations are situated, among others Film i Väst.
Year 2006
On March 1st 2006, the Cine-Regio secretariat moved to Göteborg, Sweden, with support from the region of Västra Götaland, the home of the Cine-Regio member Film i Väst. Charlotte Appelgren was appointed Secretary-General of Cine-Regio.
Year 2005
On May 11th 2005, Cine-Regio was officially registered under Belgium law, as a non-profit organization “a.i.s.b.l.” (Association Internationale Sans But Lucratif). At Cine-Regio a.i.s.b.l.’s 1st General Assembly in Cannes, May 2005, Cine-Regio counted 15 regional film funds from 11 different European countries.
